Welcome to the XIV Iberian Geochemistry Congress!

The Congress will take place at the Ponta Delgada Campus of the University of the Azores, on the island of São Miguel (Azores, Portugal), under the theme Geochemistry: new challenges, new solutions.

Humanity currently faces complex challenges, at various scales, to the mitigation of which geochemistry can make an important contribution, such as, among others, pollution of the atmosphere, soil and water, critical mineral resources, the mitigation of natural hazards and the climate change.

Following previous Iberian congresses, this event aims to bring together researchers and professionals from various areas, but with a common interest: the origin, distribution and dynamics of chemical elements on planet Earth and other celestial bodies, including the processes and reactions that modify the composition of geological materials.
